Had a weird dream last night… dreamt about learning watercolour painting. I had some sort of a teacher in the dream and I was taught some methods of painting a tree from different angles, frontal view and from below. It was vivid and real… just a little short of a lucid dream. The methods taught in the dream seemed totally possible and relevant.
The question is… where did these “methods” come from? Did my mind conjure techniques that I never knew? Is it capable of teaching me anything I wish? Is there really an endless amount of information stored within your subconscious mind that is only blocked by our beliefs of our humane limitations formed by our society and environment?
To quote lines from “The Secret of the Ages” written by Robert Collier,
“Most of us think of mind as being merely the conscious part of us, but from the earliest greek religious writings we have been taught that man is a triune being: 1st, the physical or conscious self; 2nd, the subconscious, sometimes called the “inner mind” because it is latent within you; 3rd, the superconscious or “higher self”.
“You can send your Higher Self to do your will, as Jesus sent His to cure the Centurion’s servant. Through it, you can protect your loved ones, you can heal, you can help in all ways.”
In other words, we are far more powerful beings than what we know ourselves for. Our mind has unlimited power and knowledge far exceeding what we think we know. That explains why Newton is able to have such great knowledge of mathematics and physics without even needing a teacher for guidance. It explains why some kids are able to perform calculator flooding mathematical sums in a matter of seconds, but lose the ability to do so when they get older (when societal beliefs that such acts are inhuman starts to cloud and dissipate the conscious mind’s ability to tap on the subconscious).
Well… what I see in this is that… “Whatever our mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” And in that it absolutely means everything and anything can be done… as long as one is able to put 100% belief into it, which more often than not, tends to be the hardest part.
