Our Inner Mind…

Had a weird dream last night… dreamt about learning watercolour painting. I had some sort of a teacher in the dream and I was taught some methods of painting a tree from different angles, frontal view and from below. It was vivid and real… just a little short of a lucid dream. The methods taught in the dream seemed totally possible and relevant.

The question is… where did these “methods” come from? Did my mind conjure techniques that I never knew? Is it capable of teaching me anything I wish? Is there really an endless amount of information stored within your subconscious mind that is only blocked by our beliefs of our humane limitations formed by our society and environment?

To quote lines from “The Secret of the Ages” written by Robert Collier,
“Most of us think of mind as being merely the conscious part of us, but from the earliest greek religious writings we have been taught that man is a triune being: 1st, the physical or conscious self; 2nd, the subconscious, sometimes called the “inner mind” because it is latent within you; 3rd, the superconscious or “higher self”.

“You can send your Higher Self to do your will, as Jesus sent His to cure the Centurion’s servant. Through it, you can protect your loved ones, you can heal, you can help in all ways.”

In other words, we are far more powerful beings than what we know ourselves for. Our mind has unlimited power and knowledge far exceeding what we think we know. That explains why Newton is able to have such great knowledge of mathematics and physics without even needing a teacher for guidance. It explains why some kids are able to perform calculator flooding mathematical sums in a matter of seconds, but lose the ability to do so when they get older (when societal beliefs that such acts are inhuman starts to cloud and dissipate the conscious mind’s ability to tap on the subconscious).

Well… what I see in this is that… “Whatever our mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” And in that it absolutely means everything and anything can be done… as long as one is able to put 100% belief into it, which more often than not, tends to be the hardest part.

Initial Thoughts…

These are the first words of a long journey ahead… As we see and observe the world go by…

As a start, I shall present an alternative perspective of looking at the world that occurred to me earlier on in life.

When I was still a kid, strange ideas visited me frequently.  One of which was… everyone else in this world is not real except yourself.  A pretty scary thought…  You are here all alone, going thru life like a game character trying to get to the final stage… each “stage” that follows becomes increasingly difficult to get pass… from a baby who gets almost whatever u want, to the adult who has a family to feed. 

As I was having such thoughts, other ideas came into my mind… if others are real, is what they are seeing akin to what i am seeing?  If I see grass as green, do you see grass as green as well? What if you are seeing grass as “blue” right from birth and is told by your parents that the colour of the grass is “green”, and you learnt that colour as “green”?  It would then be possible that everyone sees a different palette of colours and a different mix?  Well… That could explain why some people have weird fashion sense and colour tastes…

Most of us see objects and things as they are… with the assumption that there is a real world out there… But in perceiving the world, we often disregard the fact that we are 100% of the time making use of our 5 senses…

What we make of this world therefore, is determined by what our mind interprets of what the senses sense.  Could our minds be inaccurate? or fooling us?  Making each of us believe that object XYZ is actually a car? or Sound that are actually non-existent is made up by our minds to fool us into believing that we are living in a real world?  Making homosapiens belief that there is an objective reality? 

For all we know, this very chair that we are sitting on, or the floor that we are standing on are all fragments of creation of another being(s) higher intelligent. 

As computer games portray the player in a situation akin to the world we live in, we may be living in someone’s game at this very moment.

The question is… Are you the human player? or are you acting as the A.I. or N.P.C?
